Investors in Pupils

At Bacon Garth we are working towards a prestigious quality award called Investors in Pupils.

Investors in Pupils (IIP) helps pupils find out about their school, the school budget and the jobs of everyone in it. The award aims to support children in setting targets for their class and for themselves whilst recognising the importance of the roles and responsibilities of everyone involved in their education, and how they as pupils, can make a difference.

IIP is a whole-school approach to enable effective pupil participation and pupil voice across the school organisation and community and focuses on five main areas:

learning, induction, behaviour, attendance and classroom management.

Here are just a few examples of some of the things we have already introduced as part of IIP:

Young First Aiders

Friendship Buddies

Investors in Pupils Committee

Governors linked to each class

Litter monitors

Celebrations of individual and class successes

Class Induction Booklets
Assemblys
